1. Using Whoosh!
These terms apply to the Whoosh! mobile app ("the app") and this website. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. Whoosh! is made for children aged 3 to 8 to use with a parent or carer. If you are a parent or carer, you accept these terms on behalf of your child, and you are responsible for how your child uses the app on your device.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices for personal, non-commercial family use. Please do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or its artwork, characters (including Puff) or sounds.
2. Free and Plus
Whoosh! is free to download. The free version includes three games (Birthday Candles, Balloon Ride and Bubble Party), the daily "How's your weather?" check-in and Puff's garden. Whoosh Plus unlocks all eight games, Bedtime with Puff and its night light, Calm Insights, and every Puff colour and hat. What is included in each version may grow over time.
3. Whoosh Plus subscriptions and purchases
- Monthly: $4.99 per month, billed monthly.
- Yearly: $34.99 per year, billed yearly, with a 7-day free trial.
- Lifetime: $59.99, paid once. There is no renewal and no further charge.
Prices are in US dollars. Your store may show a different price in your local currency, including any taxes.
Payment
Purchases are made through your Apple ID (App Store) or Google Play account, and payment is charged to that account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you do not cancel. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Auto-renewal
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trial
The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your account is charged $34.99 for the first year. Free trials are offered under the store's rules, which may limit a trial to one per person or account. Any unused part of a free trial is lost when you buy a subscription.
How to cancel
You can cancel at any time in your store settings. We cannot cancel a subscription for you, because it is managed by Apple or Google.
- iPhone and iPad: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, then Whoosh!.
- Android: Google Play, your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, then Whoosh!.
After you cancel, you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for.
Lifetime purchase
The lifetime option is a one-time purchase that unlocks Whoosh Plus for as long as the app is offered on your platform. It is tied to the Apple ID or Google account that bought it, and can be restored on your other devices from the same account using the restore option in the app.
Refunds
Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies. Please ask them directly. We are happy to help if you are unsure how.
4. Not medical advice
Whoosh! is a playful tool. It is not a medical device, a therapy or a treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional care, diagnosis or advice. The breathing games are inspired by well-known calming exercises, but we make no promise about any particular result for any particular child. If you are worried about your child's health, feelings, behaviour or sleep, please speak to a doctor or another qualified professional. If your child is in distress or in danger, contact your local emergency services. Please also supervise young children while they play, and stop if a child feels dizzy or uncomfortable.
5. Microphone and privacy
The app uses the microphone only to detect breath on the device. Audio is never recorded, stored or sent. Our Privacy Policy explains this and everything else we do (and don't do) with information.
6. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Whoosh! running well, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We may update, change or remove features, games or prices, and we may stop offering the app. If we change the price of a subscription, the store will tell you and give you the chance to cancel before it applies.
7. Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, including consumer rights where you live, and nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top and, if the changes matter, tell you in the app. By continuing to use the app after a change, you agree to the updated terms.
